6.2.1. Schedule Scan

Stellar Reporter & Auditor for Exchange Serverregularly scans the exchange server to provide better audit and analysis results. With theSchedule Scanfeature you can scheduleStellar Reporter & Auditor for Exchange Serverto scan the server at a time and frequency you choose. For specific auditing, you can also choose a specific module to scan.

To schedule a scan:

1. Login toStellar Reporter & Auditor for Exchange Server.

2. From theNavigation Pane, click onAdmin -> Scheduler -> Schedule Scan.

3. ASchedule Scanwindow is displayed as shown below:

4. In theTask Name字段中,输入任务的名称,你想要的to schedule for scanning operation.

5. In theGlobal Catalog Serverfield, select the server from the drop-down list that you want to scan.

6. In theScan Forfield, select the module from the drop-down list that you want to scan:

• Essential Data Gathering
• Distribution List Membership
• Mailbox Content
• Public Folder Properties
• Public Folder Content
• Traffic Logs
• OWA Logs
• Events For Audit

7. In theFrequencyfield, select the scheduled frequency for scanning from the drop-down list.

8. In theTimefield, enter the time when you want to start the scanning process.

9. There are some extra fields which you will be asked to fill when you will select theMailbox Content, Public Folder Content, Traffic LogsandOWA Logsmodule as given below.

Mailbox Content and Public Folder Content Form:

To scan forMailbox Content moduleandPublic Folder Contentyou need to fill a form that comprises of the following:

• Mailbox to scan- select the username of the mailbox. You can also search for the username in search bar. You can select as many number of mailbox's as you like and can even select all of them.

or

• Public Folder to Scan- Select the name of the folder. You can also search for the name in search bar. You can select as many number of name's as you like and can even select all of them.
• Message Subject Contains- enter the keywords separated by semi colon that you want to search in subject of email.
• Message Body Contains- enter the keywords separated by semi colon that you want to search in body of email.
• Attachment File Name Contains- enter the keywords separated by semi colon that you want to search in attachment of email.
• Attachment File Extension Contains- enter the keywords separated by semi colon that you want to search in file extension of email.
• Attachment File Size Comparison Operator- select the Size Comparison Operator of your attachment file

• Attachment File Size in KB- enter the keywords separated by semi colon that you want to search in size of email.

After filling the entries in the form. Click onScan.

To scan forTraffic LogsandOWA Logsyou need to choose theLog Files Date. Choose theLog Files Datefiled from the drop-down list:

• Yesterday
• Customize- select theDate Rangeand clickApply.
• Last N Days- enter thenumber of daysand clickApply.

Note:Mandatory fields are compulsory you are required to fill those field that are marked by * . Other fields without * are optional fields which are not compulsory to fill. It is completely your wish to select optional filed as per your requirements. The form is mix of both the fields. Think carefully while filling the data.

10. ClickCreate.
