5.3. Recovering Data from Physical Disks

Sometimes you can't recover your data by using the quick scan and deep scan options. It happens because of severe corruption or partition damage in the physical/removable disk. In this scenario,Stellar Data Recoveryallows you to recover your data by using thePhysical Disksoption. This option supports both internal and external hard drives.Physical Disksfeature works with Raw Recovery to retrieve the highly corrupted data and has better chances of recovery.

Steps To Scan Physical Disk:

1. RunStellar Data Recovery.

2. FromSelect What to Recoverscreen, select the type of data i.e.Everything,Documents,Folders & Emails, orMultimedia Files, you want to recover.

3. ClickNext.

4. FromRecover Fromscreen, select the disk you want to recover fromPhysical Disks.

5. ClickScan. A screen showing the scanning process is displayed.

Note:You can clickStopat any point to stop the scanning process.

6. Once the scanning process is completed, details of the files and folder found are displayed in a dialog box as shown below:
