4.1. Select the Database File

本节描述如何选择和repair database file. For selecting a database file, there are two easy optionsBrowseandFind. If you know the location, then you can directly use theBrowseoption to select and repair database file. If you do not know the location, then you can search the required database file by usingFindfunctionality ofStellar Repair for SQL Anywhere.

Steps to Browse database (.db) file:

  1. RunStellar Repair for SQL AnywhereApplication.

  1. Select Databasewindow appears when the software launches. Alternatively, you can also openSelect Databasewindow fromFile Ribbon.

Stellar Help

  1. InSelect Databasedialog box, clickBrowse.

  2. In theOpendialog box, browse and select the corrupt SQL Anywhere (.db) file and then clickOpen.

  3. ClickRepairbutton to start the repairing process.

  4. After the process is completed aRepair Completedialog box appears with a message, "Selected SQL Anywhere database repaired successfully".

  5. ClickOKto complete the process.

After the repair process is completed, SeePreviewandSavethe Repaired Files sections, for more details.

  2. Browse for Folderdialog box opens. Select the drive or folder to search for the corrupt SQL Anywhere (.db) file.

  3. ClickOKto start the search process.

  1. After the search is completed,Search completeddialog box appears with number of SQL Anywhere database files found.

  2. ClickOKto close the window.

  3. The list of files found in the selected drive is displayed inSelect Databasewindow with File name, Path, Size, Modified date, Created date, last Accessed date details. Select the file you want to repair, only one file can be selected at a time.

Note: If you want to clear the search result, clickClear List.

  1. ClickRepairbutton to start the repairing process.

  2. After the process is completed aRepair Completedialog box appears with a message, "Selected SQL Anywhere database repaired successfully".
